Tenderness

Yesterday was an absolutely gorgeous day here in Kansas.  It was a bit windy, but the sun finally came out after a very cold and wet Monday.  I decided to take Shiloh outside for a bit to enjoy the weather and when we were out she did the sweetest thing ever!  She simply held out her hand as to feel the wind hitting her soft, tiny little fingers.  Then she brought her sweet hand in to mine and grasped hold of me while turning her head and allowing the wind to breeze across her face as she smiled.  It was such a sweet moment of tenderness as she was discovering this thing called wind and soaking in the moment.  I know I have talked about moments in a previous blog, and for some reason this moment hit me super hard.  It reminded me to be still, to be in the moment and recognize how big our God is, and how little we are.  And yet, because of His incredible love for us, He chooses to use us here on this earth and allow us to live life, each in our own different way.  I was reminded of what a blessing it is to be able to be a mother and have the responsibility to care for a child, as many women do not have that opportunity in this life.  I am so grateful, and I never want to take that for granted.  Crazy how Shiloh feeling the wind can make me experience all of that! ;)  But just a little tid bit from my thoughts from yesterday.  I hope that you are able to have a tender moment in your life this week.  I know so many times my agenda for the day can keep me from truly being 100% in the moments of my life, as I am constantly thinking of the next thing I can be doing with my life.  I am really working on being in the present though and using each present moment to define the future and heal the past.  And speaking of the past, here are a few pictures of our precious Shiloh from a couple of months ago, as I am working on getting a little caught up!  Enjoy!

Can't believe this was only two months ago!  Man, how time flies!

Autumn Grace Shockey

A couple of weeks ago I was blessed to be able to get together with my sister and her beautiful daughter Autumn for some pictures.  Autumn just turned 3 and has the best personality ever!  I love how children at this age can at some points be so loving and dependent on mom, and yet at other moments be completely independent and in their own little world!  This session was definitely a good challenge for me as Autumn is quite an active little girl!!  It was so much fun though!  Here are some of my favorite pictures from the session. I hope you like them!

My gorgeous sister!!

 Love those pretty eyes!

Willy & Jessie Lucero

A couple of weeks ago Willy and Jessie allowed me to take some shots of them for some practice of my own.  I had such a blast with their session!!  We were able to get so many amazing shots of them, mostly to their own credit!  They are such a photogenic couple and made my job super easy when posing and such! I am so in love with these photos and wish I could just post them all!  I hope you guys enjoy them as much as I do!! (P.S.- If you are in the Topeka area and know Willy and Jessie, but do not know the story of how they met, you definitely need to ask!  Cutest story ever! :) )

Thanks again to Willy and Jessie for letting me get some more experience!! You two are incredible together!

Comments are always welcome!  Have a blessed evening everyone!
