Yesterday was an absolutely gorgeous day here in Kansas. It was a bit windy, but the sun finally came out after a very cold and wet Monday. I decided to take Shiloh outside for a bit to enjoy the weather and when we were out she did the sweetest thing ever! She simply held out her hand as to feel the wind hitting her soft, tiny little fingers. Then she brought her sweet hand in to mine and grasped hold of me while turning her head and allowing the wind to breeze across her face as she smiled. It was such a sweet moment of tenderness as she was discovering this thing called wind and soaking in the moment. I know I have talked about moments in a previous blog, and for some reason this moment hit me super hard. It reminded me to be still, to be in the moment and recognize how big our God is, and how little we are. And yet, because of His incredible love for us, He chooses to use us here on this earth and allow us to live life, each in our own different way. I was reminded of what a blessing it is to be able to be a mother and have the responsibility to care for a child, as many women do not have that opportunity in this life. I am so grateful, and I never want to take that for granted. Crazy how Shiloh feeling the wind can make me experience all of that! ;) But just a little tid bit from my thoughts from yesterday. I hope that you are able to have a tender moment in your life this week. I know so many times my agenda for the day can keep me from truly being 100% in the moments of my life, as I am constantly thinking of the next thing I can be doing with my life. I am really working on being in the present though and using each present moment to define the future and heal the past. And speaking of the past, here are a few pictures of our precious Shiloh from a couple of months ago, as I am working on getting a little caught up! Enjoy!
